IMPORTANT NOTE:

Surplus property listed on this website is available to state agencies, political subdivisions, and approved assistance organizations, not to the general public.

Instructions for Requestor: The Texas Facilities Commission has the authority to set the price per Section 2175.184 of the Texas Government Code. In order
to be considered, requests must be submitted during the 10 business days that the property is advertised on this website. During the 10 business days in which
the property is available for request, a transfer to a state agency has priority over any other transfer. Assistance organizations MUST be approved by TFC
prior to requesting property for direct transfer from a state agency. If you are interested in an item, contact the state agency who owns the item for more
information. To obtain the asking price, please contact TFC at State.Surplus@tfc.texas.gov.
Please note: All proceeds will need to be paid directly to the owning agency.

Instructions for State Agency Property Manager: For transfers between two state agencies, TFC approval may not be required, however, you must notify TFC
so that the asset may be released back to the owning agency. For transfers to a political subdivision or approved assistance organization, you must
first verify the requestor's eligibility, and TFC must approve the price. To verify an assistance organization's eligibility, request a copy of the assistance
organization's TFC-issued approval letter. The letter will contain a list of the type(s) of property that the organization is approved to receive. Political
subdivisions are not required to obtain an approval letter from TFC in order to request items; contact TFC if you need assistance determining if an organization
is a political subdivision. Additionally, your agency must complete a Certificate of Acquisition Form
and submit to TFC at storefront.surplus@tfc.texas.gov or fax to 512-236-6173 prior to releasing the asset(s) to the requestor.
